PhotoMonth 2025 Film Screenings
PhotoMonth returns in 2025 with renewed energy and a broader vision, transforming London’s “E” postcodes into a month-long celebration of photography. On top of over 50 pop-up exhibitions a parallel film programme runs throughout the month at Hackney Picturehouse and The Source, Stratford.
Each screening will be followed by a live Q&A with directors, photographers and special guests. Book your tickets through the links below.

BOOK Screenings of seven short films by Duane Michals and Arthur Tress: Water's Edge, followed by a live streaming conversation with Duane Michals and Arthur. Tress and Michals are pioneering gay photographers were at the forefront of the LGBQT+ movement in America during the 1960’s and 1970’s and continue to be creative and seminal figures in the art world. The feature film uses photographs made by Arthur Tress in Central Park when homosexuality was still illegal. This is very relevant today after legalisation was passed but is possibly under threat. The seven short films recently made by Duane Michal’s in his ninth decade are evidence of his continued use of concept, artifice and nuance. The live link after the screenings , it technology allows, will be of great interest.
